Samantha Bell is based in Los Angeles and has over twenty years of experience working with cats. Samantha is often featured on national TV shows educating the public on feline behavior with the goal of keeping cats in their homes and out of shelters.
Samantha started volunteering with shelter cats in the 90s, and learned early on that happy cats have a much better chance of making it out of shelters alive. So she dedicated herself to learning behavior techniques to help cats cope with their environments. Her methods evolved over the years until she was chosen as the first ever Cat Behavior & Enrichment Lead for Best Friends Animal Society, a role she held for six years with the organization, where she now handles work in celebrity and entertainment outreach.
During her six years as Cat Behavior Lead in Los Angeles, Samantha provided socialization, enrichment, behavior modification, and a great deal of TLC to tens of thousands of cats in her care. Thanks to Samantha’s knowledge, skills, and ability to assemble and train a team of stellar cat behavior volunteers, she helped increase adult cat adoptions by 60%, saving thousands of feline lives.
As a member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, Samantha stays ahead of the curve in cat behavior through constant research, conventions, and training. She has been a national Trainer-Mentor for The Jackson Galaxy Project’s Cat Pawsitive program since 2016. In this highly impactful role with The Jackson Galaxy Project and GreaterGood.org, Samantha trains staff and volunteers at shelters and rescues all over the country on how to clicker train their cats to help solve their behavior issues and get them adopted.
